Use skateboard clear grip tape over the lettering. Then the plates can’t get read by these scanners.

This happened to me. bought a new bronco, after registries closed on Friday so couldn't switch till Monday. Passed a Sherrif and RCMP and while they were behind me got 2 calls from private numbers 1

if you have a criminal record or convicted you will more likely to be pulled over due to the automatic license plate reader pulls up your criminal history.

I had the scanner read my plate wrong! Going the speed limit, all rules being followed, & was pulled over. The officer came to my car claiming that I had no license/ insurance, put the plate in /2

Ontario has the ALPR now, OPP just got it last year. I've caught about 10 people so far and before this a lot of these people had been driving for YEARS without being caught.

Ontario OPP have plate scanners. I would drive my uncle around when he was suspended for health reasons in his vehicle and we were pulled over every day sometimes 2-3 times a day.
