@halalstreets: Neptune Palace Restaurant 🥢 Halal Friendly Upscale Chinese / Malaysian Restaurant 📍 Gateway Building Level 1 Corner of Pitt and, Alfred St, Sydney NSW 2000 ✨ All their dishes/meats are halal, no pork 🍷 Alcohol is served on premises My order: - Pineapple Fried Rice - Chicken ($33.8) - Salt & Pepper Tofu ($31.8) - Honey Chicken ($35.8) - Beef Szechuan ($34.8) - Ginger Pear Mocktail ($14) My Rating: 8.3/10 Why doesn’t Melbourne have anything like this, upscale halal Chinese food with a massive range of classic Chinese & Malaysian dishes, let me tell you I was super KEEN for this experience! 🤩 The food was delicious, everything was cooked perfectly, meats were tender and juicy especially that beef, fried rice was light, fragrant, flavourful with that fruity touch from the pineapple. 🤩 Although I do feel some of the flavours were a bit whitewashed, I expected a bit more spice and kick from the Szechuan beef, you know that numbing feeling you get, I wanted that, it was very light almost sweet chilli like. 😬 But their honey soy chicken and salt pepper tofu WAS A BANGER!!! Light crispy chicken coating, and a very good depth of honey, none of that fake syrup, juicy and tender! The tofu was perfectly fried, light crispy with a pillowy texture and perfectly flavoured from the salt, pepper, spring onions and chilli, TWO MUST TRIES! 🤤 Overall it was a solid experience, the vibe and service is great!
