@saint: Quasimoto, or Lord Quas, is a side project by producer and rapper Madlib. The project consists of Madlib and his alter ego, Lord Quas. Quas is an animated figure and is known for having a distinctive high-pitched voice. He is often presented as a mischievous figure, contrasting with Madlib’s more straightforward persona. Madlib came up with the idea of Quasimoto while in the studio in the late 1990s, when he decided to rap over his own beats. He did not like the sound of his own voice on the track, so he pitched it up, creating what would become the voice of Lord Quas.
