Childhood best friend’s mom- no eating, drinking or applying lipstick/gloss in her car. We hated this rule when we became teen girls.

mine was don't hate ppl, you can dislike them, lie was a bad word so weren't allowed to use it as a teenager 9pm house was on lock down, if you're not in by 9pm you sleeping outside

Not really a weird rule but my dad would always go to bed like super early on weekends, issue was the smallest violin 3 blocks away would wake him so me and my friends would be getting yelled at

No farting in the house which only applied to me and my siblings. My brother (the rebel) had a tape recorder set in his bedroom to record his farts. He got in big trouble when his mom found it…..

I had to ask permission to do absolutely everything, which sounds normal enough, but that included eating, drinking water, going to the toilet, leaving my room, going to sleep, literally EVERYTHING

My parents had multiple that still affect me today, yelled at if you talked during TV shows or if someone was on the phone, my feet sweat so if I walked around without shoes on I was grounded/1

I was in foster care as a kid and wasn't allowed to fart was so bad that one time I wasn't allowed to eat for 24 hours and was even made to sleep outside

Not really weird, but a very strict rule: the last of anything is automatically moms. To be honest it was fair because we’d tear through snacks and stuff, it ensured mom got some too.

i always see these things and then be thankful for my dad. his rules were 1. have to come in to their room to let them know we are home at night(he worked at like 3am, went to bed early).
