The problem is you only have like 3 days window of time to eat them or their so chalky and sour it’ll ruin you’re day 😂. And then they’re suddenly rotten.

I’ve had them as soft as they can get and they still taste like you described the underripe one. I’ve never managed to get one that tastes good

I once bit into a green one just to see if it was as bad as my granddaddy said it was. It was worse. The ripe ones are delicious. I love them! Wish they traveled as well as the Asian ones do.
