@bratbustersparenting: What to do if a toddler is hitting their younger sibling? Usually it’s because the younger one interferes in whatever the 2 year old's doing. You have got to watch them like a hawk. Every time the younger sibling bothers the toddler, I would give the toddler another place to play as an option. Somewhere where the younger sibling won’t interfere. If they choose to stay and end up hitting their younger sibling, I would immediately pick up the younger sibling and console them, then take away the toy that they hit with. At this age, when they are 16-35 months which is what I consider a toddler, they are about consistent corrective actions. In general, you want to be there to prevent it happening. What about a 2 yr old hitting parents or grandparents? Repetitively. What’s the best approach to stop this behaviour?

This is random but I can’t get anywhere. My 12mo will grab hair at the back of my neck & try to put in his mouth when rocking to sleep. I put him down every time but no changes yet. Oral fixation?
