IG: @daryna.yatsenko While these Arabic phrases - “Inshallah”, “Bismillah”, and “Lhamdullah” - are used by Muslims all over the world, Moroccans have our own special way of using them in our daily lives✨ 🔽 “Inshallah” (إن شاء الله) is something they say ALL the time. It’s their way of saying “God willing” or “if it’s meant to be.” They use it whenever they’re talking about future plans or uncertain situations. It’s their way of being humble and recognizing that at the end of the day, what happens is up to God. “Bismillah” (بسم الله) is the phrase they say to kick things off - whether it’s starting a meal, embarking on a journey, or beginning a new project. By invoking God’s name, they’re asking for blessings and protection for whatever they’re about to do. And “Lhamdullah” (الحمد لله) (or “Lhamdulillah”)? That’s their go-to expression of gratitude and praise to God. When something good happens, like getting great news or achieving a goal, that’s when they break out the “Lhamdullah.” It’s their way of showing appreciation for all of God’s blessings💖 These phrases are so ingrained in Moroccan culture and Islamic faith. They’re just a natural part of how they communicate and make sense of the world around them. Give ‘em a try next time you’re hanging with your Moroccan friends! #morocco #darija #arabic #moroccanarabic #lmaghreb #moroccandarija
