PART 2🤍 other than focusing on my breath, visualizations were so incredibly helpful to me throughout my entire labor! With every contraction, as I breathed in, I would visualize the numbers (1, 2, 3+…) large and clear in my mind, and then as I breathed out, I would count down (…3, 2, 1). I was always a little bit excited to make it to the next number and cheer myself on like “we’re almost to 7!”😂 I would typically make it between 6-10 before I started counting down, and I only had to do this a couple times before the contraction was over! I feel like it made my contractions feel a lot faster and way more doable🤷🏽‍♀️ Sometimes I would switch it up and imagine a balloon (for me it was a red balloon) filling up with air as I breathed in, and then deflating as I breathed out. But as it deflated, I would imagine channeling the air down and out through my cervix and vag1na, relaxing and opening my body. Again, I’m not an expert, but between focusing on breathing and visualizations, I was able to remain calm throughout my labor and have a peaceful, happy experience. This was what worked for me and I know there’s A LOT of factors that go into labor, but I truly do think if you can incorporate some of these tips when you go into labor, it’ll make your experience a little bit more peaceful!!💗 For all the mamas, did you use visualizations, and if so, which ones??🫶🏽 #laboranddelivery #unmedicatedbirth #newborn #pregnant #pregnancy
