Generally, speaking, if someone complains about the small portions of fine dining, they’ve never actually experienced fine dining. Each portion is small because you are given 4 to 7 courses.

I've learned that there's Variety and Safety eaters. Variety eaters tend to like fine dining not bc it's better but bc it's different; Safety eaters tend to like junk food bc they want comfort

There's definitely a difference between "fine dining" and high quality food. I've been to plenty of inexpensive family owned restaurants with high quality ingredients and excellent portions.
