![A once in a lifetime gifted opportunity that my inner teenager is still screaming over — HT sent my husband & I to see Sleep Token in concert!!!!! 😭 Part of my history and the life I lived prior to being fully disabled, was being an avid concert-goer. It was my lifeline for years, before I became to ill. My last concert was in 2019 (to see NF 🩶), with the pandemic and then my health worsening— going to any live event just wasn’t in the picture for me ever again, or so I thought. Recently, life has been hell. The morbidity of my failing health has been a reoccurring nightmare in my mind trying to maintain strength and grace through all I’ve recently found out and will be going through to heal… it makes you appreciate each day and moment so much more, and any chance to make the most dream-filling memory is on my mind more than ever. I just want to have so many amazing, potentially last, moments with my husband and surrounding family. To take this opportunity, especially right now, was an absolute no brainer. It makes it all more special that music has been the largest bonding time I’ve had with my husband. 🥹 Not only was everything met with so much ease, the venue was so accessible- I got to enjoy ADA seating for the FIRST time ever. 😭 every venue worker we encountered helped us out so well and people are just truly the kindest when they see someone in a mobility aid at a concert. 🥹 The brand I’ve been obsessed with for more than half of my existence funded what could be my last concert of my life; and at that it was a band that means so much to my soul and my healing right now… maybe I could die happily after all. ❤️🩹🥹 I just so deeply needed this. My body is so symptomatic and in pain but my mind is the calmest it’s been in two weeks… 😭 I don’t feel like I deserve this experience still honestly.
