We have lost all of the patrons of the arts. There isn't a lack of creativity, there's a lack of funding creativity. Artists were being paid and given room and board. Nowadays Artists get paid pennies

I always buy antiques when possible. My apartment looks like a museum or a palace. Аntique furniture, candlesticks and crystal chandeliers with paintings 🥰 love it

Machines took over. Europe invested in the secondary and tertiary sectors. Primary sector was reduced greatly. So was craftsmanship by hand. That’s why you can’t do this today.

apparently Swedish anvils were the best made by 1 singular guy. The company never bothered to get an apprentice to learn from him and as the anvil guy left bc of smth so did Swedens number 1 spot.
