The Trollhättan school stabbing was a tragic incident that took place on October 22, 2015, at Kronan School in Trollhättan, Sweden. This attack is considered the deadliest school attack in Swedish history and the first fatal school attack since the Kungälv school shooting in 1961. At around 10:06 AM, a 21-year-old man named Anton Lundin Pettersson entered Kronan School dressed in black clothing, a cape, a German-style helmet, and a paintball mask. Trollhättan had a history of hate crimes, including a fire attack on a mosque in the 1990s. Pettersson was described by former classmates as a loner who “lived in his own world” and often dressed in black, resembling the emo or rock scene.
