@christophernolen1: #squirrel #grey vs #brown #douglas Joey was surprised that Sweetie Pie was just ignoring her 🙂. She made the sound she makes usually when another grey squirrel is testing her resolve as the Alpha female. She has no problem running either of her two twin sisters off if they get on her nerves a bit. She’s used to brown squirrels being more territorial. This has only happened this once with two types of squirrels eating from one hand. Two brown squirrels would definitely be a no go. Two grey squirrels of my three sisters from last year do not do this. Gus is very tolerant of the immediate family as long as they show basic respect to him by not eating right where he is already eating but Joey a lot and occasionally Baby Girl will go into my jacket pocket while Gus is eating seeds or small pieces of nuts from my hand while sitting on my knee.
