@gregcpearson: If you want to run a sub-2 hour half marathon… You can. But you have to be patient with your progression. You can’t give up at the first sign of difficulty. Training for endurance events is HARD. Nobody finds it easy. If you don’t achieve it after one 12-16 week training block… try again. And keep getting after it until you hit it. You will learn a lot from one training block to the next. From one race to the next. You’ll be able to tweak your training a in various places. Perhaps do things a little differently in training for your next race. When all said & done, the only way you won’t achieve that sub-2 hour half marathon you’re going for, is if you quit today.
