My son too had stage 2 ependymoma at the age of 5 as well. Tumor resected with radiation. 21 years old now and going strong. Similar situation with doctors misdiagnosing and I to demanded a ct scan.

My daughter had stage 4 brain cancer glioblastoma/PNET, a tumor slightly larger than a tennis ball in her two yr old head with chemo and then radiation, she’s 18 in Feb.

I'm so glad you advocated for her! I was misdiagnosed and my mom was blown off for 12 years..I almost died from hydrocephalus, and grade 2 astrocytoma on my brain stem. I was diagnosed 23 years ago.

I have chronic migraines (which I do not think are caused by tumors) but they won’t even do a ct scan on me. I’ve been going to physical therapy and taking meds and they’re better though…
