@jessicaruth3: The gap between the two wounds is definitely getting closer to becoming one hole. What do you think? . . . #hs #hidradenitissuppurativa #hidradenitissuppurativaawareness #hsstrong #hswarrior #hssucks #hsjourney #fyp #foryoupage #chronic #chronicillness #pain #update #dailyupdates #woundcare
Nurse here! I would try seeing if your doc would prescribe aquacel ag advantage. This will have anti-microbial properties with the silver in it (ag) and also will help greatly with drainage

What did you do to get diagnosed? Did you go to a primary care or dermatologist?

I know you probably have tried this, but I use icthammol ointment or black salve. It pulls everything out pretty good

Can this be passed down to your children ? And if so how would you be able to see the signs beforehand ?

The band aid you’re using is super good but be prepared - the gunk it collects looks disgusting when you take it off. But they draw out the HS hook really well!

I have HS and I do what is called Fucidin wrap. In Canada Fucidin is a prescription cream but put large amount on the bandaid plus paper tape. After 24 to 48 hours it starts to drain and less pain

you may actually have H.A. instead of H.S. I was diagnosed at age 13 with H.S. now 35 and girl H.S flares have more down time in between flares where H.A can last for months. praying for your relief!

Do you use any type of skin barrier to protect the skin from the stickiness? Those might be helpful!!

Try the Walmart sensitive skin bandaids! I have HS and I swear by them. They stick well and don’t cause irritation and can also stick to hair with no issues coming off

I’m so sorry nothing is really bringing relief. I can’t imagine how irritated your skin must be from the adhesives and stuff on top of the pain from the actual sores.
