Omg the first time my boy did that I literally cried and ran straight to google 😂😂 , supposedly that’s their way of cooling themselves down when they’re stressed/anxious since they don’t have sweat glands 🩷

When I travel with my boy cat he pants like a dog ! The veterinarian told me it’s because he’s stressed/anxious. I put him in and enclosed carrier and it helped ! + gabapentin for longgg car rides

Mesh kennel and use a blanket to cover if traveling they are not use to being outside of their norm most cats you gotta train to ride in cars from a small baby lol

panting is actually a stress response in cats, it's not at all for body temperature regulation like in dogs! I would recommend taking your cat to the vet if she keeps doing it
