@emilyseilhamerart: We finally tried the tree branch painting technique! What an adventure it was....here's what worked and some helpful tips if you try this at home. 🎨🍂 #howto #tipsandtricks #beginnerfriendly #paintingtutorial #paintingtips #acrylicpainting #artsandcrafts #DIY #diyideas #art #artist #tutorials What you will need: ~Acrylic craft paint/ fluid acrylic ~Paint roller ~Cardboard/table covering ~Plant clippings, grasses and weeds to slap ~Canvas (I used 8x10 canvas and 12x12 taped cardstock) ~Round pouncer sponges Tips and tricks: 1. For smaller scale paintings use plants/weeds with branch like structures instead of larger wooden branches. They are more flexible and fit on smaller canvases. 2. Remove any leaves that might block the branch/stems from hitting the canvas. 3. Use a small paint roller to get an even coat of paint (you can use a brush too but it may be hard to get it on evenly!) 4. Make sure you have fluid acrylic not thick acrylic. I used craft acrylic and still watered it down. 5. Paint simple bright backgrounds. You want the contrast of the dark branches to pop out so I wouldn't paint many details in the landscape 6. Splatter proof your painting area! 7. After splatting the branch use a small detail brush to "connect the dots". Think of the imprint as a starting point and use your imagination- Trust the process! 8. Don't forget finishing details like the moon, stars, or even birds.
have u tried just placing them rather than splitting... then place a clean paper over the top n press n lift

When I first saw the videos on using a tree to make a tree, I was so excited. Trees are my hardest thing to make look like what I think they should. Thank you for a more detailed video.

How much would these sell for? I ask because I live in a tiny apartment and wouldn't want them taking up space, much better if others enjoy it!
