Last year, my partner, and I moved her aging mom, who has dementia, in with us to become her caregivers. And this was very eye-opening for me. First of all, we are lucky enough to be in a position where we can accommodate her living with us. My partner and I both work from home so we are able to help her throughout the day while still working. But that took YEARS of planning by my partner to be able to accommodate that. She catered her whole career around it. A lot of people are not in this position. A lot of people need to leave the house to go to work. So they cannot caregiving for their aging parents during the day. To be able to hire a healthcare aid to take care of our elder loved ones during the day would be incredible. This would keep so many people in their own homes or in the homes of their families. Where they should be! This would help ensure that our aging population is properly cared for and their needs are being met so they are safe and properly fed. ##caregiver ##elderlycare ##seniors
