@evalangwin: the dark ages were *literally* the dark ages due to a large volcanic eruption(s) which caused ash to darken the sky for 18 months. this caused crops to fail throughout much of Europe and other parts of the northern hemisphere, and evidence of the sky darkening and temperatures dropping can be found in the rings of trees. Yippieeee 😀 A similar effect could be accomplished if a nuclear war were to break out, except the sky would not only be filled with ash but also radioactive fallout. Anyway 💅
