I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t lose myself in motherhood. I love being a mom but I never wanted to lose the other parts of me— like my love for fashion, my friendships, etc. Vogue India posted about something similar today and someone commented about how it’s always a struggle for mothers to find the line between self care and being selfish. I think that’s something I really struggled with in the beginning. I worked really hard to maintain a balance, but I am not perfect and am still figuring it out.
