@storie.rat: The kangaroo, one of Australia’s most iconic animals, is known for its powerful hind legs and incredible ability to jump. Some species can leap up to 9 meters in a single bound! Kangaroos use their large, muscular tails for balance while hopping at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. These marsupials are also unique for carrying their young, called joeys, in a pouch until they are fully developed. Interestingly, kangaroos can’t walk backward, and they need very little water to survive, making them perfectly adapted to Australia’s harsh environments.
