Kinda confusing bc Wicked (movie) is based off the STAGE production Wicked which was INSPIRED by but entirely an adpation of the wicked book, which was its own take on the Wizard of Oz book

it’s actually a really interesting book to musical variation because the musical is more about womanhood and friendship but the book is much more of a political piece than the musical is!!
