WHAT I would do to go back to my environmental justice college course to talk about what is going on right now. Our textbook had units on what every presidential administration in history did for our environment policies good and bad, trumps was by far the longest (mostly reversals & not good) I encourage everyone to read up on actual policy change and and physical copies if possible. Next thing we know all the resources are going to be censored :/ I’m so scared *edit- y’all I know these clips are from a lot of national parks and they won’t be touched by drilling. It is still part of the earth that is going to be harmed by the adverse impacts of drilling and greedy decisions. Also, Trump has removed protections from 35mil acres of public lands. That’s equivalent to the size of Florida and 16 times more land than Teddy Roosevelt protected as national parks/forests. He has also rolled back funding and many initiatives for the National Park Service, including rescinding DO100, removing science-based protections against climate change, biodiversity loss, invasive species, and pollution & other threats in national park management. I also get that people argue we need oil to keep things running, and importing it can get pricey. But the real cost is the environmental damage, the greenhouse gases, and the long-term reliance on something that’s just not sustainable/ WILL deplete eventually. What will we do when we can’t drill anymore? Green energy can cut our dependence on foreign oil, reduce emissions, save money in the long run, and help create jobs while protecting the planet. #evironmentalpolicy #climatechange #Sustainability
