2004 Toyota Corolla lasted my son 2 months after getting his license. Not because it wouldn’t have lasted another 100k miles but because he rear ended someone. Don’t spend too much on that first car!

Years ago a local Porsche dealership had a used 959 in their showroom. A man had purchased it new for his son’s 16th birthday and told him not to speed. Sold back within 2 weeks because his son sped.

My father told me what he bought for me and I had never heard of it so I used my aol (hahah) and looked up exactly what a 1979 FORD PINTO 4 speed was...hated it then. miss it now! INDESTRUCTIBLE!

if you wanna add to the car gift. UPGRADE their BRAKES. example: drilled and slotted rotor. ensure they can stop when they need to and not a second to late.

My parents were frugal with my 1st car. It was my dad’s geo metro he used to commute to work &I had to buy it off of him because he knew it was reliable & that I could handle it in bad weather.

We got a 2007 Jeep Liberty for our kid. We live in country and 4x4 is needed. Small, easy to park, and not a big enough 4x4 to get in trouble 😂😂

I had a 2013 Toyota Corolla brand new off the lot. I put over 200k miles on it and a couple accidents...., now my daughter has it, it's over 300k now and still running perfectly fine!
