The surge for that area is only 11’ that jail is 9’ elevation=2’ surge. It’s a 2 lvl jail, they will go up to 2nd fl IF it floods the 2 ft.

cuz it's horrible my aunt is in that jail and my mama spent 6mo there for driving her husband's car after they had a fight so they suck

Unpaid traffic tickets take you to jail not prison. — this is the worst of the worst. If there’s the resources to monitor and move all of them sure - but otherwise, what is anyone’s supposed to do?

My father in law was getting chemo treatment while in prison and hurricane hit Beaumont it took us weeks to finally get any info. They won’t evacuate at all it’s crazy
