Four states to start your year off with. ✅ California for the winter - hiking and kayaking is great in the winter! While it can take some planning as snowbirds often head to places like California especially for its weather. Not only the coastline is great but places like Earp CA to kayak the Colorado River is a gem or head to the desert and explore the Salton Sea and Anza Borrego. Make sure to hit Joshua Tree NP. In fact California has nine National Parks so it's a good chance to knock them off your bucket list. Don't over look the State Parks as they are often less crowded and perfect places to camp. ✅ PNW for spring/ early Summer. This is Oregon and Washington combined. Can I say this is a Waterfall Wonderland? Waterfalls often are a lot fuller and streams are flowing. Photographers paradise is an understatement. You can follow the Columbia River up and head into Washington through the east side hitting places that aren't as well known like the Tri-cities. If National Parks are your scene then I suggest after Crater Lake head across and go up the coast to hit Olympic and North Cascades then over to Rainier. ✅ Idaho for Summer. Idaho is one of Americas true hidden gems. From Hotsprings, to the mountains to the peaceful lakes. I especially love Sandpoint. Kayaking Lake Pend Oreille was up in my top ten lakes to paddle in 2023. There are also plenty of less known lakes and unique spots for camping. Weather is magical and I can promise you, you'll fall in love with the region. ⭐️What to do for the remaining part of the year? Stay tuned! 👀 📍Could this be your year? Or if you can only hit one of these areas, which one are you hitting first and why? . . . . . #outdoorblogger #placestoexplore #naturelovers #exploremore #idhikethatcrew #findyourpark #wildernessculture #landscapelover #roamtheearth #adventureawaits #earthfocus #california #pnw #idaho
