It’s sad all around the board. The grandmother tired to help her granddaughter and give her a better life. The little girl is probably struggling with abandonment issues and needs counseling.

My friend came to school with the square shape of a belt buckle around his eye in 5th grade in the 70s. School didn’t say anything about it. I’ll never forget that.
