To be fair, pasta can be confusing bc it expands once cooked. You had a whole bowl of uncooked and it probably wouldn't have fit in the bowl after boiling!

the soup one is ridiculous 😂 but in all honesty, i ALWAYS cook too much pasta because i cant portion it for the life of me 😂 so maybe i do need to weigh my pasta 😂

you do know for any soups that are marked as condensed, you’re supposed to add milk or water to them, right? so half a can of condensed tomato soup, you add half a can of milk to fill it out.

Some serving sizes (eg pasta) are because you’re meant to eat them as part of a “balanced meal” (with a meat, veg, etc) and some are just utter bollocks like wym pot noodle 2 servings

If you’re going into a calorie deficit please focus on protein and good fats to keep you full! Carbs are still good, but you will find volume eating (salad, veg) and P and health F’s will help more!

This is why it’s important to supplement with veggies. Add sides. Spaghetti squash and zucchini noodles are great to add to pasta and cauliflower rice is great to add to rice dishes.

Actually it says pasta portion depends on what you’ve had throughout the day, if your calorie intake is still below and pasta is your only meal that day, 100 gram of pasta is not wrong.

Right! I get really effed off with portion sizes. You know the famous little yogs for babies, to get the recommended amount of calcium they need 2 but that’s twice the calories so they made them small

I make my own green pesto because you can have more, just spinach, brocoli, garlic, basil and a sprinkle of cheese. I would recommend it
