@washingtonpost: Thursday, Oct. 10 Hurricane Milton update. Hurricane Milton was moving off from Florida’s east coast into the Atlantic on Thursday morning, as heavy rain and wind continued to lash parts of the state. A storm surge warning is in place for much of the state’s east coast and parts of its west coast. At least four people were killed, officials in St. Lucie County said, a result of tornadoes that hit Wednesday before the center of the storm crashed ashore. Milton’s destruction will become clearer as the day goes on, but in many pockets, the severity was already evident. More than 3 million customers were without power as of Thursday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
my high school’s sign is gone, there’s multiple light posts that fell, and there’s a ton of debris in my neighborhood and one of my lakes got more water and now there’s a gator in there
