@maltemarten: I’ve been gifting myself a lot of offline time lately. I realized that I still run on the same programs like 10 years ago when I got my first child at the age of 20 and had just started my handpan journey. Back then I needed to use every single free minute to be productive. This pattern accompanied me until the beginning of this summer, until I met a wonderful human being who naturally took me away from social media and the hustle culture. It led to quite an identity crisis. Because for all my young adulthood I was used to work and function. Not only for my job or my children, but also working out my body, eating healthy, making space for breathwork and so on. All of those things gave me a lot of stability and endurance to keep on pushing the limits, but I had to realize that also those „healthy habits“ become toxic, if they’re abused to cross my own boundaries over and over again. After letting go of the „healthy habits“ and developing some really unhealthy ones during this summer I am back to the old game, and more than ever I am grateful for all the tools and techniques I was taught along the way.
