@thenatureeducator: Do you like mussels? So do sea stars! In the intertidal zone of the Pacific Northwest, you can often find beautiful and colourful ochre sea stars suction cupped to rocks with their strong tube feet. If they come across a delicious clump of mussels, they will wrap their bodies around the bivalve and use those thousands of strong feet to pry the two shells apart to devour the meat inside. Super cool. They slowly rachet the shell open, lock their limbs into place so it can't close, and EJECT THEIR STOMACH into the shell where it starts to dissolve the mussel
