Fun fact: controllers feel the EXACT same way when we key up for the very first time. It’s literally a mirror image on the other side of the freq. Great job. Most people butcher it their first time. Controllers included.

When I was doing flight training (still need to complete it), my instructor arranged a tour of the tower. Meeting the controllers in person made a huge difference in my comfort level talking to them

It was the same way for us as Controllers too at one point! I remember talking to my first pilot scared shitless. It gets easier with time, you got this!

As an ATC student at the academy my class were all just as nervous speaking to the rpo’s in lab and I’m sure we’ll be nervous again our first transmissions to real pilots too 😂
