While this fulfilled prophecy, this doesn’t explain why he said these words. Forsaken means abandoned. Jesus expressed how he felt in that moment. How could God the father abandon his son at that time

I had also learned before that in Jewish culture they would actually refer to each psalm by the first line. So where we might say “psalm 22”
