My neighbor just build his home, about 800 sq Ft less than mine, built in 2006. I pay $4800 per year in tax and my neighbor pays $9000. Being new doesn’t seem to make a good difference l.

New builds have a major flaw. There are kickbacks and subsequent things not to code or flat out missing. Glued shower liners w RTV is common on second floors. That’s a real doozy to fix in 10 yrs

Builders are using the worst and lowest grade materials. You will definitely have issues very quickly. It’s like lipstick on a pig.
