@vasenia: In this video, I’ll show you how to create a neat opening for the elastic on bloomers. I use a special tool to help make the edge binding clean and precise. First, press the binding to ensure the casing turns out smooth and even. Start sewing the casing from the center of the leg opening. Place the binding so that about 1/4 inch is left unsewn — this will help with finishing the seam. When finishing the round seam, also leave a small section unsewn. Fold the binding as shown in the video and stitch it from the wrong side along the pre-pressed edge of the casing. Now all that’s left is to thread the elastic through — and you’re done!
