also: practice with other stuff before going right to noodles! Noodles are slippery and difficult. If you’re learning, start with anything! Berries, popcorn, cut up melon, etc. And work up!

Great tutorial. It’s actually tough to teach someone. Something else I used to do was try to use chopsticks at home with different foods. They also keep your fingers clean when you eat cheetos!! 😁

It’s much easier if you support the bottom chopstick with your ring finger and use your pointer and middle finger to move the top one.

I hold them slightly different. I use the tip of my ring and pinky finger along with the base of my thimb to keep the lower chopstick in place and the midle,pointing finger are used to move

I often go out for sushi and regardless of how much I try to use chopsticks I never can and end up so embarrassed having to ask for a fork every time.

Someone told me to hold the top one like I’d hold a pencil and the motion of “writing” is how you opened and closed them. It really helped me!

it took me a long time to get proficient at chopsticks. i practiced by using them for most meals i would normally use a fork for. it really just takes practice. i hope they keep at it and dont give up
