I looked into it cause I was curious while a lot of places have laws to enforce cops having them on they do not run them all the time due to most cameras having limited storage and battery life

if you buy it from dealer then you have to have register and insure it before driving off the lot. if you buy it from private party, you have 24hrs to drive it home without it.
