The one that always gets me is when they use owning a smart phone as proof of living lavishly. We know they're expensive, but most aren't bought they're contracted and so many jobs require it.

Older people can’t downsize to smaller like bungalows as bungalows are not being built much any more or families are making them dormer bungalows..so older person stays in a big house they don’t really need now..therefore preventing a younger family a family size house.

Thatcher started the sale of social housing, and no government since has stopped it.And non of them ( especially Blair) made any attempt to replace them! Shame on our governments ( all of them)

We need to change our culture. Council houses need to not be up for sale. Nothing wrong with renting in a council house your whole life, on regulated cheap rent. Then there will be a housing stock.
