Is eating to much protein bad for you? To burn the most fat and build lean muscle All you need is x 0.7 - 1 grams of protein per lb of your goal body weight for fat loss! So if your currently 180lbs and your goal weight is 150lbs anywhere from 105- 150 grams of protein should be lots! If you really want to play it safe you can eat 1 gram of protein pe lb of bodyweight but it really probably wont make a difference other then the fact you will get extra satiety and that feeling of being more full with more protein than less! But here's the issue if you overdo it on protein you will be taking too many calories away from carbs and fat for hormone regulation and energy! You should NEVER ever go lower than 20% of calories coming from fat.. So for instance if you are eating 2000 caloris no less then 400 calories should be coming from fat! And I like to keep around 30-40% of my calories coming from carbs to help fuel gym performance if you eat too much protein more than 1 g of protein per lb of body weight you dont leave enough room for carbs and fats!
