The expectancy is that teachers do everything. That’s why I don’t agree with the argument that schools should teach financial literacy, they do everything else, parents can teach these skills.

I agree💯 we parents are becoming too lazy. the worse is, most parents expect the children to know it all & do it all by themselves & blame the children for not doing well with zero parental support.

Most of our parents didn’t even speak English but ensured that we were doing our studies but some of the new parents speak good English and are born here but are not checking homework’s or reading.

Also "kids do as you do, not what you say" When 5/7 nights a week, when my kids get into bed they see me sitting on the floor of their room reading my Kindle till they fall asleep.

My daughter is 1 and one thing I’ve made sure of is she familiar with physical books because I refuse for her to be hooked on these Electronic devices 😩 You have to be so intentional with kids!

My 13 month old already has a 30 + word vocabulary because we’ve been reading 15 + books a day, multiple times a day since birth. She prefers books over toys. It’s fundamental.
