the first film has enough context clues to tell you this isn’t a typical DC Joker story, however the large amount of musical numbers took away from the plot line..

Personally I quite enjoyed the first 75% of the movie. So while the ending was weird & seemingly came outta nowhere, the movie isn't a total loss IMO. A disappointing film from the 1st, but not bad.
