@rachel_gilmore: 🚨NEW: The Toronto Star and other major newspapers all ran news-like ads claiming Jagmeet Singh was in a tr*gic accident this week. Only, he wasn’t. So why did this happen? And how?? Well, I have acquired a particular set of skills that mean I can explain this:
Publishers know exactly who's advertising on their websites and advertisers know exactly where their ads show up, if they both checking.

so the CRTC should get a mandate to get a handle on disinformation maybe ? or is there another department that could handle complaints and hold Google accountable?

Mobile ads are particularly bad, and with no ways to flag them. Game Theory has a great video on it.
