I think tmu’s app has its downfalls but I also think it really highlights the fact that you can have a lower gpa and still be an amazing doctor! Gpa shouldn’t be as make or break as it is imo

GPA for schools is usually based on how many people apply and because it’s TMU medical schools first year. The GPA requirement is going to be low. At the end of the day they’re still gonna look at the higher GPA is for people that they want.

I mean you don’t have to apply to the school, in the states it’s very normal for schools to look at your app holistically and take students with ties in their areas, it’s not a new concept

you don't know how many people other people are applying/what their situations are, I wouldn't base your choice off an assumption (MCAT doesn't eliminate discrepancies because of the price, the cost

I just found that they are lowering their standards to meet their quota. My daughter is trying for the 3rd time to get in. Really confused with the whole med school process.

i have a question - for programs not requiring the MCAT, do you think they take into account the difficulty of the program or just the GPA? i.e biochemistry compared to biology/life sciences
