Even in the ED I get stressed putting them on tele waiting for them to get transported upstairs! I leave them cycling BP + pulse ox never comes off while waiting to go to the floor

In Med Surg, you don’t need to hover over your patients because they will call you every 5 minutes anyway.

I agree sm! I’m a medsurg nurse and it’s nice to be able to Quick Look at my monitor for my pts on tele while I’m running around crazy to make sure they’re good if I can’t make it in the room.

we have central monitoring telemetry in our hospital, they hire people to just sit and watch them all day and night.. the AVA cams are in there too

In my IMC clinicals, my PT went into afib-rvr. They had hard wired ECG right there, but my instructor told me not to use it until there was an order for monitoring. Blew my fucking mind.
