How to lose 2-3kg by Christmas.  - Weight train at least 2-3 times a week. Everyone will benefit from lifting weights, getting stronger and adding some muscle mass.  - Do some form or cardio/conditioning 2-3 times a week. This can be 10-20 mins after your weights or can be done at other times in the week.  - Walk! Increasing steps is an easy win for most people. Instead of just saying 10k steps like most do, just aim to do more than you do currently.  - Ensure you’re in a deficit. This is a must. 300-500cal a day is ideal. Many ways to do it but a balanced diet of 80% whole foods would be great for the majority, rather than eliminating an entire food group!  - Eat roughly a gram of protein per pound of body weight. Anywhere in the region of 0.8-1.2g per lb will be fine.  - Stay hydrated and aim to get good quality sleep for 7-9 hours (where possible). - Stay consistent! This is essential, do what you say you’re going to do.  If you think this looks similar to the muscle gain post last week then you’re spot on! Your training doesn’t have to dramatically change when you switch to fat loss. Just decrease your calorie intake and increase output if needed.  Take pictures, the scales won’t always reflect fat loss. You may be adding some muscle whilst dropping body fat. Taking photos once a month is a great way for you to track progress.  Also I’ve put 2-3kg but everyone will be different. Some may be able to lose more and some may lose less. If you follow these points though you will undoubtedly make progress!
