What helped me is imagining to put your elbows in your back pockets when pulling. And your hands are just hooks

I don’t have lifting straps, but I noticed that if I pretend that I’m wearing them (hook hands over like you showed) and pulling from my wrists where the straps would be helped me feel my lats more
