As someone who played saxophone with braces and constantly got hit in the mouth, I felt this pain 😬 I don't envy brass. also takes me back when my drum major tripped over a curb backwards

At Iowa state when we were marching, occasionally when we encountered an obstacle, people in my section would randomly stop playing and scream pole. Then another would scream it.

As a saxophonist I've had a few too many run ins while high stepping and had to get my chipped tooth re repaired this summer. Usually the first things we worry about are the instruments though
