If you have room to get a press gun against the joist. There’s plenty of space to solder it without burning the wood. It’s called a copper shield. Mine protects the joist and floor. 30 yrs plumbing.

in my experience is a great tool in the area that I live on the border people does not want to pay when you add up parts and labor and time they think it's too expensive.

the neoprene O ring dries out and cracks after just a couple years. short term gain long term failure is what an old timer told me.

Where I’m from some hospitals won’t allow you to pro press and and you have to solder and yes I can solder faster then most people it’s what I do everyday and I’ve been doing it for many years
