hello why dense Breast cannot detect by mammogram?

I went in for a health check up. Dr checked my boobies and said I have some dense tissue which is typical for someone my age 37. Ultrasound is what he recommended but the clinic was pushing for mammogram. I refused due to my high anxiety cause by my IUD procedure. For me, it’s not the results I can handle that but it’s the process. I rather prioritise my mental health and do things that done require pressure. My next one would be MRI if they need more imaging.
